Company DescriptionIn a context where the energy transition is becoming increasingly important, nuclear energy can represent a key driver to accelerate and support this transformation.Ansaldo Nucleare S.p.A., a subsidiary of the Ansaldo Energia Group, offers tailor-made services in design and engineering, manufacturing, assembly, testing, commissioning, on-site installation, and integrated logistics across all its market segments: New Builds, Fusion, Plant Operation Assistance, Decommissioning and Waste Management.PositionThe Company, in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano, offers a Second-Level University Master’s Degree in Technologies for Nuclear Power Plants, a high-level training course for graduates interested in building a career in the nuclear energy sector.Selected candidates will be hired with a permanent employment contract and will benefit from one year of academic and corporate training.Training targets:
- Specializing in innovative technologies and advanced solutions for the nuclear sector;
- Combining theoretical education, case studies and on-the-job training on strategic industrial projects;
- Providing a medium-to-long-term strategic vision of the role of nuclear energy in the global energy transition.
Main Training Modules:
- Fundamentals of Nuclear Power Plants and Technologies: operating principles, reactor physics and thermohydraulics, safety systems, regulatory framework, radioactivity and radiation protection, design characteristics of major reactor types;
- Plant Engineering: layout and arrangement, fluid systems, civil structures, piping, nuclear components, electrical distribution, instrumentation and control systems;
- Thermal Cycle and Balance of Plant (BoP): energy conversion systems, auxiliary and support systems, cogeneration and alternative energy uses;
- Digital Solutions for Nuclear Plants: numerical modeling, simulation, static and dynamic analysis.
After completing the first year of training, participants will have the skills required to design, develop and manage nuclear plants and technologies, with particular focus on advanced digital tools.General Information:
- Start Date: October 2025 (employment starts mid-September)
- Duration: 12 months, 1,500 total hours of lesson and on-the-job activities
- Languages: italian and english
RequirementsMaster’s degree in:
- Engineering
- Physics
- Chemistry
