Position Overview
New Product Introduction (NPI) technical program manager for Secure Connected Edge (SCE) business MPU/MCU/Connectivity products. In this role, the NPI Program Manager will be responsible for managing/driving multi-disciplinary engineering core teams for defining, developing, and delivering to EP’s commercial and industrial product requirements and timeline. Candidates for this role should possess extensive experience and understanding of the semiconductor industry and key competitive differentiators for our products including manufacturability, price, power, die size, system performance and time to market.
Specific Responsibilities
- Responsibility for NPI Program overall planning, development targets, resource tracking and budget throughout the product life cycle
- Driving project execution and assuring alignment with all project teams (IC Architecture and Design, SW, Applications, Product and Test, Development Boards, Marketing, Documentation, Finance)
- Utilizing NXP’s program management flow (BCaM) and tools, for project tracking, gate reviews, business financials, core team management, …
- Driving and delivering project metrics and on-time reports
- Aligning with other corporate NXP organizations and general business strategy
Qualifications/Experience
- BSEE or equivalent degree, advanced degree preferred
- A successful candidate will have at least 10 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry with a strong track record of driving IC programs, SoC design and/or embedded software projects
- > 5 years as Program / Project Manager on complex NPI projects.
- Subject matter background in SoC design, SW development, product/test development or applications
- Strong Program Management skills and experience in managing complex technical projects including hardware & software
- MS Project and/or Sciforma or other Product and Portfolio Management tool experience
- PMI/PMP certification desirable but not required
