The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. With its more than 1400 professionals, SAP Labs Bulgaria also has strong contributions toward life-cycle management, user interface & user experience across the broader portfolio of SAP products and has recently welcomed new teams focusing on business applications. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Within Circular Economy, products are designed to become resources for the future, bringing major economic benefits. As a market leader in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP’s customers have large and diverse spectrum of sustainability needs – reporting of different types of wastes (product packaging, batteries, consumer devices) in conjunction with countries legislations, country specific eco-fees calculations, calculations of plastic and other waste-reducing taxes (e.g. EU plastic tax), redesign of products to reduce waste, sourcing of recycle materials, re-engineering of production and supply chain processes to reduce carbon footprint. To meet our customers’ requirements, we are setting up a new team to develop the Circular Economy solution as business application running on top of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). For this team we are looking for a talented, creative, team-oriented and highly motivated Product Owner. The team in Sofia is a strong contributor to the development of the SAP Sustainability business portfolio. We value professional skills as much as teamwork, trust, collaboration and creativity.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

-Work closely with product management, senior management, external stakeholders in order to define product vision and roadmap to SAP Circular Economy strategic goals

-Define Scrum team’s product backlog (epic/user stories/backlog items) for releases and takts, communicate and explain to the Scrum development team

-Develop appropriately technically detailed user stories for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development team

-Actively engage in architectural discussions and decision

-Backlog prioritized as per customer needs. Solve product related problems, stay on track towards business deliverable commitments

-Work in Scrum mode following Agile practices. Be a member of the development team

-Research and analyze market, the users, follow the competitors and the industries, explore new technologies opportunities

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

-Bachelor (Master’s preferred) degree in Computer Science or similar Engineering field. Or business/social education with proven record in working with software development teams

-At least one year experience as software developer/architect or quality assurance

-Good understanding of software development technologies, practices, architecture

-Proficiency in project management and planning

-Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal

-Experience with a definition of minimum marketable features and minimum viable products

-Strong presentation skills

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

-Understanding of SAP environments and experience with SAP S/4HANA is an advantage

WORK EXPERIENCE

-At least 2+ years of experience as Technical Product Owner
