We are looking to appoint a Technician: Pattern Cutting – Fashion Atelier to join our team at Epsom.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the BA Fashion Atelier & Tailoring course at Epsom. Working as part of a vibrant team, you will collaborate with academic and technical colleagues to collectively generate new course materials and develop learning activities specific to this unique course.

The Atelier & Tailoring studios are a dynamic environment, and the purpose of this position is to support students within this specialism to understand, develop and push the creative possibilities of pattern cutting and draping (3D development). 

The successful applicant will have demonstrable knowledge and expertise in providing technical support and direction in the area of pattern cutting and draping for contemporary innovative fashion, as well as experience of materials, equipment and procedures associated with pattern cutting.  You will also contribute to the care and day-to-day operation of the Fashion Atelier & Tailoring studios.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to problem solve and apply initiative. Whilst working under pressure, you will be able to demonstrate a positive and flexible approach when working with students and staff. The ability to work as part of a team is essential.
