Offer DescriptionApplications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or 2 within UCD School of Medicine/Systems Biology Ireland.Systems Biology Ireland (SBI) at University College Dublin (UCD) is seeking applications for a computational Postdoctoral Research Fellow with experience in bioinformatics and/or computational network modelling to work on the multiomics data analysis of breast cancer metastases.The successful applicant will perform the bioinformatic/computational analysis of multiomics data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, etc.). Therefore, experience in bioinformatics and/or computational modelling of biological systems is required. Proficiency in coding is also required. We use both AI/ML approaches and mechanistic ODE models. Candidates should have a good understanding of either or both methodologies. An understanding of cancer signalling is advantageous. The Fellow should be self-motivated and comfortable working with collaborators from different disciplines. This post will be part of an interdisciplinary team of cancer biologists, clinicians, and computational scientists working across different Universities and University Hospitals in Dublin.The post will be part of the Kolch Group at Systems Biology Ireland (SBI, ), a research centre based on the UCD Belfield Campus. SBI was established in 2009 and has successfully developed an integrated mathematical/computational modelling and experimental research programme focusing on the design of new therapeutic approaches to cancer, based on a systems-level, mechanistic understanding of cellular signal transduction networks.Salary Range for PD1:€44,847 – €51,313 Per Annum
Fixed Salary for PD2:€52,715 Per AnnumAppointment in the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on the 5th of February 2025.Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified.
