Contract Type: Full-time, PermanentThe OpportunityOur client school in Milan is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and motivated Visual Arts Teacher to join its growing Middle and High School team from September 2025.The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge and a proven ability to combine academic rigour with creative expression. Experience with experiential, project-based learning and familiarity with IB programmes is highly desirable. Native-level English proficiency is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesTeach Visual Arts and Art History in EnglishDesign and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that reflect the schools commitment to inquiry-based and global learningContribute to the school’s extracurricular programme and cultural activitiesCreate a positive classroom culture that encourages expression, participation, and student voiceAssess student progress and maintain accurate records in line with school policiesContribute to curriculum planning and developmentActively support the schools mission and promote its values within the learning communityParticipate in ongoing professional development and school growth initiativesSupervise students and contribute to the wider life of the schoolCandidate ProfileQualifications:Masters Degree in Art or a related fieldQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent international teaching qualificationCertified to teach at Secondary levelExperience & Skills:Prior experience teaching Middle and High School studentsFamiliarity with IB programmes (MYP/DP) is a strong advantageStrong classroom management and student engagement skillsNative-level English (or C2 proficiency); Italian language skills are a plusEffective communication, collaboration, and leadership abilitiesCommitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and student well-beingExperience in international or bilingual school settings preferredThe SchoolOur client is a well-established bilingual international school in Milan, offering a dual-language (Italian/English) education from preschool through to high school.
