Volunteering Coordinator

Salary: £29,834 per annum, based on 35 hours per week, plus pension contributions of
9%

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a volunteer coordinator to develop and support our team
of valued and enthusiastic volunteers

Volunteering is at the core of everything Cumbria Wildlife Trust does and we greatly value and
appreciate all of our volunteers. Giving one’s time as a volunteer is one of the best ways for
anyone to take action for the environment and it also provides many personal benefits for the
individual.

The purpose of this role is to make this vision a reality and to improve and increase the
involvement of volunteers in the Trust’s activity, both on and off our own sites. The post
holder will be the key point of contact for all volunteering matters and, by building strong
relationships with colleagues across the Trust, will coordinate our volunteering activity.

The post holder will also contribute to new initiatives and projects including the development
of a Wilder Cumbria volunteering service, as part of the Team Wilder approach to
engaging people and local communities in nature recovery close to where they live.

Special Features of the Role:

This role will directly support Trust-wide volunteers and other staff who work directly with
volunteers. They will support two dedicated volunteers in our volunteering team.
