This role in a nutshell:

Sitting in the Workday Product Team at OVO, part of the Finance function, this role supports the entire OVO group, working closely with the Finance, Payroll and People functions to provide system support, configure system updates and develop & implement new functionality to ensure that OVO gets maximum value from our Workday asset.

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Being first point of contact for system access queries and requests
  • Monitoring issue log, promoting timely issue resolution, and managing appropriate issue escalation to achieve timely resolutions
  • Research and apply new capabilities within Workday to support a culture of continuous improvement across Finance
  • Opportunity to run smaller system implementation projects, gathering requirements from users to configure solutions in Workday
  • Supporting with Workday major releases, identifying impact and enhancement opportunities associated with a new release, and communicating appropriately
  • Providing change management support by delivering training and development of materials
  • Coaching the Finance Team through system developments and sharing technical knowledge
  • Ensuring documentation and processes are in place to satisfy audit requirements
  • Lead and assist with the execution of system changes (updates, integrations, new configurations) and participating in all aspects of system testing
  • Developing and leading training sessions for Finance, managers and employees

Within your first 6 months month you’ll:

  • Have a sound understanding of our critical Finance processes and controls
  • Be known in your business area and by key collaborators and stakeholders
  • Have a working understanding of our ERP system
  • Be familiar with the use of OVO’s other key Finance related systems

You’ll be a successful Workday Finance Specialist here at OVO if you…

  • Are studying or recently qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA 
  • Experience in Finance processes with particular focus on controls and reporting 
  • Critical thinker and exceptional ability to analyse, identify and resolve gaps
  • High level of resilience and adaptable to change; being able to cope under pressure
  • Knowledge of Workday Financials
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills with great attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation skills to be able to manage and prioritise multiple stakeholder queries effectively in a timely manner
  • Confidence in your ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels of Finance and support them through changes and issue resolution.
  • Self-starter and fast learner requiring minimal direction on a day to day basis.
  • Eagerness to learn and become a subject matter expert in our ERP system
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Demonstrating strong professional ethics at all times

We’ll pay you between £39,960 and £57,542, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!
