Job Category: Administrative ServicesJob Description:At SCOR, the Global Travel Manager ensures the smooth and cost-effective travels of our teams around the world. This role supports the business by managing a consistent and service-oriented travel environment across regions.The Global Travel Manager works closely with the leadership team to adapt policies and provide adequate reporting and travel support.Responsibilities:Key duties and responsibilitiesTravel Policy & Governance
- Develop, maintain, and globally enforce the company’s travel policies.
- Ensure policy compliance and consistency across all regions and business units.
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Manage relationships with Travel Management Companies (TMCs) and key travel suppliers.
- Lead contract negotiations in collaboration with Procurement.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with SLAs.
Hotel & Accommodation Programs
- Oversee hotel partnerships to ensure smooth booking processes, employee satisfaction, and alignment with sustainability targets.
Project & Community
- Drive travel-related projects globally, including communication, timeline tracking, and coordination of dependencies across functions.
- Partner with regional leaders to execute the global travel strategy at the local level, considering specific business needs and cultural nuances.
- Create and lead a global community of travel managers across SCOR.
- Promote the standardization and globalization of travel support services.
Analytics & KPIs
- Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators to assess program effectiveness.
- Use data insights to identify opportunities for improvement and cost optimization.
- Provide senior management with regular reporting on travel expenditures, project status, and program performance.
- Leverage analytics to support strategic decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand evolving travel needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for travel-related inquiries and initiatives.
Communication & Internal Resources
- Maintain and update the company’s intranet travel pages to ensure access to up-to-date information and guidance.
Traveler Safety & Risk Management
- Work with preferred suppliers and internal teams to ensure duty of care, traveler safety, and appropriate incident response procedures.
Sustainability & Reporting
- Align travel practices with corporate sustainability objectives.
- Ensure accurate reporting in coordination with the sustainability team.
Traveler Satisfaction
- Conduct regular surveys to gather employee feedback.
- Develop and implement action plans to enhance the traveler experience.
Qualifications:Required experience & competencies
- 10+ years of experience in global travel management, ideally within a financial or professional services work environment
- Proven expertise in supplier negotiations, contract management, and understanding of corporate travel policies and compliance.
- Experience coordinating travel across multiple international locations and resolving global-local operational challenges.
- Knowledge of travel supplier landscapes, market trends, and travel program governance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex travel programs efficiently with excellent project management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage with regional teams, suppliers, and senior management, combined with active listening skills for conflict resolution and problem solving
- Proficiency in travel management tools, reporting software, excel and using data to drive decisions and improvements
- Analytical mindset with a track record of managing complex, cross-regional projects successfully;
Required Education
- Degree in Business Administration, Travel Management, a related field or equivalent experience
