Expert Cybersecurity Engineer –
Penetration Tester at SAP Business
Technology Platform
, you will conduct advanced security evaluations on various applications and systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective measures. Your expertise will directly contribute to strengthening our organization’s security posture. You will consistently think ahead and out-of-the-box to anticipate new threats and vulnerabilities and contribute to developing cutting-edge defensive strategies. Your role would be participating in the security governance domain not only with findings and observations, but also driving ideas, planning, architectural solutions, and innovative approaches.

-Conduct thorough penetration tests on BTP services and infrastructure identifying security vulnerabilities.

-Perform manual and automated white-box security assessments using industry-standard tools with a strong focus on Web Applications

-Provide actionable recommendations to mitigate risks. Create a vision for long-term changes (when needed) and drive architectural redesign projects together with product teams.

-Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to integrate security best practices into SDLC processes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes, methodologies, and tools.

-Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
 

style=”list-style-type:disc”-
-Keep abreast of emerging threats, trends, and new technologies in the cybersecurity landscape. Introduce ideas for implementing AI solutions optimizing the every-day processes

-Mentor junior team members and provide guidance in developing their technical skills.
 

style=”list-style-type:disc”-
-Develop deep knowledge of the BTP services, infrastructure and overall architecture
 

style=”list-style-type:disc”-
-Provide security consulting and expertise in the domains of security architecture, EVM, Security Monitoring, Threat Detections, Incident Response. Take part in forensics following security breaches and actively propose ideas and solutions.
 

What you bring (maximum character count 750):

-Degree in computer science, preferably with a focus on Cybersecurity or related field
 

style=”list-style-type:disc”-
-At least 5 years’ experience in web application penetration testing 
 

style=”list-style-type:disc”-
-Experience with security testing tools such as Burp suite, Kali Linux toolset or others
 

style=”list-style-type:disc”-
-Previous experience with CTFs, bug bounties or other hacking challenges
 

style=”list-style-type:disc”-
-Secure Software Development background. Java/Python experience. 
 

style=”list-style-type:disc”-
-Experience in Secure Design and Threat Modeling
 

style=”list-style-type:disc”-
-Strong knowledge of security audits, penetration testing reports and source code analysis
 

style=”list-style-type:disc”-
-Experience with SAP Cloud products is a strong bonus

-Security Certifications like OSWE, OSCP,
CEH, CE(P)T, PenTest+, CISSP
are considered a strong advantage

-AI Security Tooling experience is considered highly beneficial

-Being analytical, structured, and a good communicator.

-Fluent written and verbal skills in English, German is a plus.

The team serves as a central security and compliance governance unit for the whole BTP area and strives to provide a clear vision, guidance, support, implementation, drive changes and find efficient and technically sound solutions.
