Salary: PO1: £39,036.00 – £41,928.00 per annum (full-time) – will be pro rata for part-time

Location: Near Fareham, hybrid

Hours: Monday – Friday (negotiable) with flexible office hours – a working pattern of between 22 and 37 hours per week can be negotiated.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our HR team. Our work is with national policing units to support UK and international law enforcement by processing criminal records for the purposes of public protection, safeguarding and worldwide community safety.

About You

This is a generalist role where you will be able to develop your experience in recruitment, talent management, organisational change and employee relations as well as leadership, dynamic decision making and coaching skills. We are a supportive team offering a clear career development path.

The role holder will be expected to work to high levels of integrity and professionalism providing effective and customer focused HR service to senior managers and staff across all departments within the organisation. You will provide visible leadership within the HR team and support the HR Manager to deliver against strategic objectives. Team working, line management and excellent communication skills are essential.

Our ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified, and have 1-2 years senior HR advisory level experience, including providing HR advice to senior managers on managing conduct, performance and attendance and resolving workplace conflict. Experience of undertaking complex casework/enquiries with up to date case law developments, and a good understanding of and ability relevant UK legislation will also be essential.

•    CIPD level 7 qualified, or level 5 with work experience deemed to be at a comparable level (e.g. 5 years in a senior HR role)

•    Educated to QCF level 5, or have work experience deemed to be at a comparable level

•    1 to 2 years of senior generalist HR advisory level experience

•    Experience of undertaking complex casework/enquiries

•    Understanding of and ability relevant UK legislation
