The School of Law at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a talented Lecturer (Education) in Criminology/Criminal Justice.
You will teach modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level, in Criminology/Criminal Justice. The successful candidate will be given time to develop their scholarship within the post and will have the opportunity to contribute to School administration as appropriate to the stage of their career, and with a view to supporting career development.
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
- A degree in criminology/sociology or other relevant subject.
- Have or be about to obtain a PhD in a relevant subject.
- Scholarship experience in criminology or a relevant subject – this can include the time spent engaged in PhD level study.
- Scholarly interests that are sustainable and which complement the strategy of the School of Law.
- Experience of teaching in an HE context.
- Demonstrable ability to contribute to the teaching of criminology and criminal justice subjects at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.

This post is available for 12 months. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
