Attracting and retaining high-calibre people is fundamental to our continued success.Job description:The RoleThe School of Biomedical, Nutritional and Sport Sciences, part of our Faculty of Medical Sciences, is seeking to appoint a passionate and committed Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science on a permanent basis. We are interested in hearing from candidates with interest in areas including data science, research methods and clinical exercise physiology but welcome applications from all areas of sport and exercise science.The School is a lively, friendly community with research, innovation and teaching strengths across sport and exercise science, nutrition and dietetics and biomedical sciences. The School has seen significant growth and development in recent years including over £57 million investment in new state-of-the-art teaching and laboratory facilities located within the Dame Margaret Barbour Building and the Sports Centre.As a Lecturer in the School, you will be significantly involved in the development and delivery of a range of high-quality teaching and learning activities to support primarily the BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science. There will also be opportunities to contribute to other UG and PG degree programmes within the School. As well as developing and delivering teaching activities, the role includes marking assessments, UG and/or PG project supervision, providing pastoral support and participating in the management and administration of the degree programme(s) as required.You will also be expected to make a significant contribution to research within the Faculty by aligning with one of the three Faculty Research Institutes ( ), and be able to demonstrate a developing independent research profile.
