  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Commercial Property Team, ensuring the smooth running of daily operations.
  • Assist in the preparation, formatting, and management of legal documents, contracts, and correspondence relating to commercial property transactions.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, solicitors, agents, lenders, and other stakeholders, maintaining a professional and informative manner at all times.
  • Manage electronic and paper filing systems, diary management, and coordination of meetings and property completions.
  • Undertake accurate data entry on the firm’s case management system, ensuring compliance with legal standards and confidentiality.
  • Assist with searches, Land Registry applications, SDLT submissions, and related property transactional work as required.
  • Handle telephone and email enquiries promptly, demonstrating outstanding client care and attention to detail.
  • Support fee earners with any additional administrative and operational requirements to optimise workflow and productivity.

Legal Secretary – Commercial Property: Essential Skills & Experience

  • At least 6 months experience in a legal secretary, legal assistant, or legal administration role, ideally within a property or commercial law environment.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office and legal case management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational ability with the capacity to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Resilient, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced commercial property team.
