FTE: 1 FTE (working 37 hours per week)

Duration of Contract: Permanent

Salary:  UH6 £31,396 to £33,966 pa with potential to progress to £37,099 pa on achieving designated skills and experience

Annual Leave: 25 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

Location: Bishops Square, de Havilland Campus, Hatfield. Flexible location/hybrid working/ may be available subject to business need

The University of Hertfordshire is looking for a skilled, enthusiastic and proactive Portfolio Insight Executive to join our Insight Team to support the University in developing and maintaining a competitive course portfolio that successfully attracts prospective students.

Using excellent written communication and analytical skills you will deliver data and insight to assess the viability of new course proposals and support course portfolio reviews. You will be proactive in identifying areas of growth for the University and provide professional marketing advice to academic colleagues.

Main duties and responsibilities

Working within the Marketing and Communications department you will conduct desk research and collate both primary and secondary data to produce visual and written market analysis reports to inform the course approval process.

You will look to identify areas of growth for the University including in response to local and national skills shortages and market potential.

You will provide actionable marketing insight and recommendations to support academic portfolio development, in alignment with the University’s commercial and strategic priorities.

Skills and experience

You will have proven market intelligence and research experience, including understanding of research tools and techniques, ideally within a Higher Education or Further Education context. It is essential you have excellent written and verbal communication and strong analytical and time management skills.

An understanding and knowledge of the admissions and recruitment process within Higher Education would be desirable.

Qualifications required

You will hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification or have proven professional work experience.
