The University has varied research strengths in areas from acoustics to prosthetics and social policy, with the built environment and area studies performing well in the Research Excellence Framework. We research with purpose and generating impact in line with our areas of focus is central to our mission. Our next Pro Vice-Chancellor Research & Enterprise will develop and champion the vision and strategic direction of research and KE. Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor you will lead the building our culture, capacity and outcomes of research. You will also be centrally involved in helping our many partnerships to flourish and through these to increase the volume, quality and multi-disciplinary nature of our output.
The role requires a senior leader with a distinguished academic profile, along with a track record of successful leadership. You will have experience of developing and leading a diverse, inclusive and applied research culture and the ability to develop innovative approaches to research and enterprise. As we reshape the University’s leadership, we are looking for leaders who are compassionate, committed to equity, diversity and inclusion and whose natural approach to delivery is one of shared endeavour.
