Focused on the construction and industrial markets, ADFORS offers solutions based on a complete range of textile and coating technologies using fiberglass yarns, synthetic fibers, and natural fibers. The Construction Product Europe (CPE) business unit is a leader in European market for mesh fabrics, wallcoverings, and drywall tape.

Your missions:

Application expertise: demonstration, testing and training.

• Conduct product application demonstrations and training for our customers, as a support to sales and business development teams.
• Train commercial CPE new team members on product application.
• Leverage your technical expertise for creating educational application tools (packaging instructions, application videos, etc.) in partnership with communication team.
• Test and assess our products easiness of application as a support of new product development.
• Conduct product benchmarks together with product management

Customer Knowledge and Innovation Opportunities

• Enhance our understanding of applicators/installers and DIY client needs.
• Relay these customers’ needs to the rest of marketing team for:
• Innovation opportunities
• Packaging changes, including instructions
• Enhancing product arguments
• Adapting communication materials
• Organize and conduct application testing with clients during innovation process.
• Organize and lead product development/innovation for the French market in direct collaboration with all the product managers, especially for the retail and DIY customers.

Field claims management

• Travel to construction sites to assist with claims when needed.
• Serve as a first relay for claims between French commercial and plant quality department.

Norms & regulation

• Monitor norms changes in Europe, specifically in France, leveraging the Saint-Gobain network.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure proper application (packaging, certifications, etc.).

Which team will you join?

You will be part of the Adfors CPE business development team. Beyond the Product application specialist based out of France the team includes 3 business development managers and a business development assistant based out of our Litomysl plant in Czech Republic.

You will be directly reporting to the Business development and innovation manager who leads the team based out of Paris.

As with all team members you will work to drive profitable growth for Adfors CPE.

Is this job for you ?

Your profile:

Technical skills:

• Fluent in English and French.
• Construction product application experience (ideally including wallcovering)
• Knowledge of CPE product offer (Wallcovering, Mesh, Drywall tape) is highly appreciated.
• Technical educational background

Job location & travel:

The job will be based in France, near one of SG offices or product demonstration centers. The candidate would be able to choose between 3 possible locations (to be discussed): Paris, Amiens or Chambery.

The candidate must be ready for 50% of time or more of travelling.

Travels will vary according to business need but should be split between:

• Regular travels to different France regions for field support
• Regular travels to Czech Republic to work with Adfors local teams and the plants.
• Spot travel to different locations all over Europe for customer trainings, demonstrations or claim management.
