About us At UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience we undertake world-leading research in human mind and brain, in both health and disease. We bring together researchers from different disciplines such as psychology, neurology and psychiatry. The ICN is an integral part of UCL Neuroscience, which is one of the best neuroscience centres in the world – ranked second in the world and first in Europe by ISI Essential Science Indicators. This position will be based in the Neuroscience and Mental Health Group: Depression Lab.About the role The post-holder will be expected to carry out research in the area of cognitive neuroscience relating to mental health. The post-holder will: assist in the running and analysis of behavioural and other cognitive neuroscience experiments with humans; record and assist with the analysis of data; recruit and maintain a secure database of study participants; assist with administrative tasks relating to the management of the experiments and the research group; prepare manuscripts for publication.About you -PhD in neuroscience/cognitive neuroscience/psychology/psychiatry/computational neuroscience/mathematical psychology or a related field.
– Experience conducting statistical analyses of behavioural and mental health symptom data.
– Experience using R, Python or comparable software packages.
– Ability to write up research findings.
