If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you.We are looking to grow our Capital Design Division with a Senior / Design Manager to work within our Water Networks Design team.Sounds interesting? Then, read on.EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOWReporting to the Design Business Lead for Water Networks, the Senior / Design Manager will lead an integrated team of Severn Trent design staff to develop engineering solutions for a wide range of Water Networks projects.This role will primarily be focused on designing our small mains programme that will be delivered by Severn Trent Operations Teams. Directly accountable for a team of design professionals, you will develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and lead a programme of design activity.WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLEIdeally degree qualified in a related discipline, you will be an experienced leader with strong coaching skills in solution design. You will have experience leading design projects, ideally within water networks.You will have experience of carrying out the role of Principal Designer representative with accountability for discharging Principal Designer duties in accordance with CDM regulations.You will have excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people. You will be a forward-thinking innovator, capable of anticipating challenges and responding to change in a rapidly evolving environment. You will be able to make educated judgments and decisions in the face of ambiguity, and have a good grasp of the bigger picture, seeking opportunities to contribute to the wider agenda.The right skills and experience are important.
