Overview

About the Role
This is a hybrid role, working on campus for at least two days per week. As a Timetabling Officer, you’ll play a key role in the production of the teaching timetable for a number of schools at Queen Mary. 

Working under the supervision of the Timetabling Manager(s) and the Head of Timetabling, you will act as the key contact within central timetabling for specific designated Schools. You will be responsible for the production of the teaching timetable for all taught students within your Schools, ensuring that wherever possible timetables reflect student preferences while making efficient use of the teaching estate and adhering to teaching staff availability information.

About You
The successful candidate will be an experienced user of timetabling software, preferably Syllabus Plus (Scientia/Technology One). You will have proven analytical and problem-solving capability, be able to work independently and as part of a team, have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise a complex and varied workload.

About the Department
Registry Services is responsible for the maintenance of a student’s personal and academic record from the point of enrolment through to award, for the development and delivery of the academic and exams timetables, the distribution of the Queen Mary bursary and other approved scholarships, ensuring compliance with immigration rules and dealing with academic and regulatory queries from both students and academic colleagues.
